$6 Million dollar settlement for brain injured client

$250,000 policy limit settlement for neck injury caused by car crash

Attorney Suzanne Skolnick successfully obtained a policy limit settlement of $250,000 for her Oceanside client who sustained a neck injury in a car crash.  Due to the injuries the client sustained in the collision, she required a radiofrequency ablation procedure on her cervical spine.  Ms. Skolnick’s co-counsel on the case was Attorney Russell Kohn of the Kohn Law Office.

Suzanne Skolnick wins appeal, gets attorneys’ fees in injury case paid by the Defendant

Suzanne Skolnick won a $149,250 attorneys’ fee award for her injured client who was a tenant at a mobile home park in Borrego Springs.  The client sustained a fractured clavicle and frozen shoulder when he stepped into a hidden hole on the landlord’s property.  Following a successful jury trial co-counseled with 2016 Superlawyer Russell Kohn of the Kohn Law Office, Ms. Skolnick’s client was awarded injury damages of $311,899, as well as $149,250 in attorneys’ fees awarded by the court of appeal.  Read the full article on the jury verdict here.   Read the appellate court opinion here.

Suzanne Skolnick wins $520,000 for car crash victim

Attorneys Suzanne Skolnick and Russell Kohn represented a 60-year-old man in an under-insured motorist claim against Farmers Insurance Company. Their client was injured in a rear-end collision that occurred while he was on duty as a school district security officer. He sustained back, neck, and shoulder injuries with treatment that included neck and back epidural injections and lumbar radiofrequency ablation.  Attorneys Skolnick and Kohn achieved an arbitration award of $681,606.20 for their client.  After reduction for worker’s compensation benefits previously received, the client’s adjusted recovery totaled $520,000.  See the full article reported in the Trial Bar News.
